La sortie en 2010 de De Rebirth, troisième opus de Timaya, comprend le titre « Plantain Boy » nommé « Meilleure chanson afro-dancehall » aux Afrotainment-Museke Online African Music Awards 2011. Ce méga hit lui donne une réelle visibilté internationale.

Pour la production de l’album, Timaya a fait appel à Akeem D Beat, Phyno, Flux, M-Yire, Jay Sleek, N.D, Jesse Jagz et K-Solo qui avait produit son premier single « Dem Mama » (CD True Story).

Quatre featurings y sont réalisés : “It’s About Time” (ft. 2Face Idibia), “Who Born U” (ft. Wrecoba), “Feeling So Fly” (ft. Allenian) et “Life Anagaga” (ft. M.I).
