A signaler la présence de Ronnie Scott, saxophoniste marqué par le bebop de Charlie Parker. Charlie Mingus dira de lui : «~Parmi les jazzmen blancs, c’est Ronnie Scott qui se rapproche le plus du feeling blues, à la manière de Zoot Sims~».

Charlie Mingus said of him in 1961 : “Of the white boys, Ronnie Scott gets closer to the negro blues feeling, the way Zoot Sims does”.
