Recorded in Lagos in 1975 and dedicated to Fela Anikulapo Kuti who has welcome him at the Shrine. this album blended many musical influences : jazz, funk, pop, Afrobeat, and R&B, latin jazz and disco. In the seventies, Hugh Masekela has been influenced by Kool and the Gang , Herb alpert and latin jazzmen, Ghanaian highlife (he invited on this album members of pioneer group Hedzoleh Soundz ) and of course nigerian afrobeat. This recording is full of energy and improvisation. Jazz is still there in traks such like « A Person is a Sometimes Thing". ”
